Company Profile - Highlight Web Design

I started creating commercial websites in 2006, and went full time as Highlight Web Design in the summer of 2007, focusing on providing high quality web sites with search engine optimisation to local businesses. I've worked with a wide variety of companies since I began trading, getting to know the ins and outs of each, which has given me the ability to really hone in on the areas of a business that will benefit most from being marketed online.

I spent a lot of my working life prior to Highlight working in various areas of IT, for a small start-up business, as well as two international blue chip companies. I've been in my career, in that I've worked in virtually every role in IT - I've done Sales (Online, in the field, on the telephone, and retail), Marketing (I've run campaigns for just about every type of online marketing, as well as all the traditional forms that a small-medium enterprise might use) and Technical and Customer Support (I have an extensive background in both computer hardware and software, and years of experience of explaining computer terms and problems to lay-people).

As a sole trader, I'm able to offer a much more personal, hands on service than my competitors, with no risk of miscommunication of your needs between departments. I am directly involved in every sales query, design consultation and website implementation, which provides a whole myriad of benefits to my customers. I get a complete understanding of your business, which means I'm ideally placed to ensure all your needs are met at the start of the project, and adapt quickly to make any changes once its been completed. I'm accountable for every step of the process, providing an assurance that I'll be doing everything possible to take your business online quickly and efficiently.

Equally important to many of my customers is the difference in price between Highlight and its competitors. I have no designers asking for overtime, no sales staff to pay commission, no shop front requiring upkeep, all of which are costs that would be passed on to you by other web design firms.

I've been immersed in technology for my whole life, receiving my first computer as a christmas present aged 3. I've been regularly using the internet since 1995, and built my first website as a schoolboy in 1997.
